Presentation Guidelines

Authors of accepted papers will be invited to present their work in one of the following formats:

Oral Presentations

Onsite Presentation

  • Duration: 12 minutes presentation + 3 minutes Q&A
  • Format: PDF, Powerpoint, or other slideshow-like file
  • Language: English
  • Equipment: Projector and screen provided
  • Laptop: Presenters should bring their own laptop with HDMI or VGA output capability
  • Media Adapter: Those with limitied I/O ports (Macbook users) should supply their own HDMI-compatible adapter

Online Presentation

  • Duration: 12 minutes presentation + 3 minutes Q&A
  • Format: PowerPoint or PDF slides
  • Language: English
  • Platform: Details will be provided closer to the conference date
  • Technical Requirements: Stable internet connection, webcam, and microphone

Presentation Tips

  • Keep slides simple: Use large fonts (18pt minimum), limit text, and include clear figures
  • Practice your timing: Aim for 12 minutes to leave room for Q&A
  • Have a backup: Bring a USB drive or save to cloud storage
  • Test early: Arrive early (onsite) or join the session early (online) to test your setup
  • Stay on time: Keep your presentation within the 12-minute limit

Poster Presentations

For both accepted poster abstracts and designated poster papers:

  • Dimensions: The standard poster size is A1 (59.4 cm wide $\times$ 84.1 cm high), in a vertical (portrait) layout.
  • Setup: Presenters are responsible for printing their own posters and bringing them to the venue. Mounting boards and pushpins/tape will be provided by the local organizers.
  • Design Recommendations: Ensure the title and author names are easily readable from a distance of 2 meters. Use visual aids like diagrams, graphs, and bullet points rather than heavy blocks of text.
  • Session Presence: Presenters must stand by their physical poster during designated poster session times to answer questions and network with attendees.
